Capture Reality Itself

The XGRIDS PortalCam is a compact spatial camera designed specifically for creating high-quality 3D Gaussian Splatting environments.

Simply walk naturally through the environment while PortalCam records LiDAR and high-resolution imagery. The captured data is then processed through the XGRIDS Lixel CyberColor workflow to create an immersive photorealistic 3D scene.

PortalCam is designed for applications where visual realism and spatial presentation are the primary goal, including real estate, film production, virtual production, immersive content and digital experiences.

3DGS

Built Specifically for Gaussian Splatting

PortalCam is not simply a conventional laser scanner with color added afterward. Its entire capture workflow is designed around creating photorealistic 3D Gaussian Splatting scenes.

The result is a navigable environment with realistic lighting, textures, perspective changes and spatial depth.

Capture. Process. Apply.

01

Capture

Walk naturally through the space while PortalCam records imagery and LiDAR information.

02

Process

Load the captured data into LCC Studio and automatically reconstruct the 3DGS scene.

03

Apply

Edit, measure, annotate, publish and integrate the reconstructed environment.

Create Immersive Property Experiences

PortalCam is particularly well suited to real estate because the result is more than a set of panoramic images.

Buyers can explore a captured space with natural changes in perspective, making rooms easier to understand before an in-person visit.

XGRIDS states that a roughly 3,000 sq. ft. multi-story property can be captured in about 15 minutes under suitable conditions.
