Artec Eva Lite was the lower-cost geometry-only version of Artec Eva, using the same core handheld hardware while disabling color capture and several texture-based software functions. With up to 0.1 mm accuracy, 0.5 mm resolution, 16 FPS reconstruction, and geometry-based tracking, Eva Lite remains useful for medium-sized objects with rich, distinctive geometry.
Artec states that Eva Lite is no longer sold as a current scanner and recommends the full-featured Artec Eva as its replacement. Existing Eva Lite users can continue to receive software updates, accessories, and technical support.
Eva Lite was created for users who needed the speed and core geometry capture of Artec Eva without full-color scanning.

Objects with distinctive shapes, curves, edges, and varied form are the best candidates.
Smooth, repetitive, or low-feature surfaces can be more difficult because Eva Lite cannot use color differences to help maintain tracking.
